Fees & Payment

Therapy is a meaningful investment in your well-being, clarity, and long-term functioning. My practice operates on a private-pay basis, which allows for a highly personalized, confidential, and flexible experience without the restrictions commonly imposed by insurance companies. This approach supports deeper, more thoughtful work tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Individual therapy sessions are $200 for 50 minutes. Couples therapy sessions are $220 for 50 minutes. Payment is due at the time of service, and major credit and debit cards are accepted as well as cash, check, or zelle.

At this time, I see clients exclusively in person at my Claremont office and do not offer telehealth. I believe in-person sessions provide a deeper level of presence, engagement, and human connection that is especially valuable for meaningful therapeutic work.

I do not bill insurance directly; however, I can provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients receive partial reimbursement once deductibles are met.

If you prefer to use insurance, my experienced team of therapists at my group practice, Daybreak Counseling Center, accepts Health Net, Health Net Medi-Cal, and MHN; Cigna and Evernorth; United Healthcare and Optum; and Aetna. For all other plans, services are considered out of network. Daybreak has locations in Long Beach and Cerritos and also offers conveniently scheduled telehealth sessions throughout California. To schedule with one of them call 562-566-4257 or visit our website here for more info.

Clients who plan to seek reimbursement may wish to contact their insurance provider to ask about their mental health benefits, deductible and out-of-network coverage, reimbursement rate per session, and whether any prior authorization is required.

Private-pay therapy offers the advantage of greater privacy, continuity, and autonomy in treatment, allowing us to focus fully on your progress without external limitations on session frequency, diagnosis, or length of care.
